I miei Bauli...My chests

Ciao a tutti,
 Hello to all,

it is a bit 'of time that I do not write ... but as I wrote, perhaps previously in other posts, my day would be 24 hours to stay awake because I have too many things at the moment from having to make. Tonight, however, I would like to show you some of my recent work and I have set out in two exhibitions that took place in my city, and to which I have participated, just last Saturday and Sunday.

Here I show you some of trunks made by me and which I called

" Il Baule dei ricordi""The Chest of Memories"
In fact, many memories each door behind him during his life and then there's those who often associate them with a particular object and who wishes to enshrine in a trunk.
And here is the trunk of a man ... his memories of youth ... his experience as a young sailor around the world, from India to which he guarded some cuttings to his thirst wonderful trip to Thailand led by an elephant for a walk and then some maps, the travelogue, the inseparable telescope for indimentabili views admire, love letters received from his beloved woman, and finally the album with family photos ...

According to the trunk I made thinking of a Lady of the nineteenth century

his hat chiffon bronze, its bathroom accessories, the inseparable brooch with cameo and pearl necklace, her portrait, boquet gift of his love and finally a book is as valuable as that of "The Betrothed" Alessandro Manzoni.

The third trunk I have dedicated to the woman who likes to sew ... and therefore can not be there in its interior: antique lace, fabrics, velvet, tulle and embroidery tambourine, the basket with thread, needle, tape measure, scissors and scraps of cloth as well as the pattern of a fashionable dress. A guide to the implementation of special points and finally buttons and the inseparable thimble for not getting stung.

As a final trunk place one dedicated to the memories of a bride ...

her dress, her tiara with the veil, the bouquet, the box with the love letters, the Eiffel Tower souvenirs purchased during the honeymoon, towels embroidered her trousseau and the photo of her, young bride.

Grazie ancora...)

Buona serata a tutti, Manu

(The trunks are present in my etsy shop)

  7. Your trunks are fabulous Manu. The first one is especially meaningful as my late grandfather went to sea as a sailor when he was only 12 and his favourite country to visit was India.
